Washington State Recording Fee Increase

Please note that new statewide Recording fees will go into effect as of July 1st, 2019 and will be consistent in all Washington counties.

There will be a $2.00 surcharge on ALL documents that are not exempt from the homeless housing or low income housing fees – this includes all regularly recorded documents, including maps and marriage licenses.

Regular Recorded Document Fee 

$103.50 for first page and $1.00 for each additional page – this is for all regularly recorded documents like deeds, liens, covenants, etc.

Exceptions to Regular Recorded Documents

Deeds of Trust will be $104.50 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page.

All State, County and Municipal Liens will be $39.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page.

Death Certificates will be $39.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page.

Marriage Licenses will be $69.00 total.

*Fees for Maps (Surveys, Plats, Condos, etc.) will increase to $187.50 for the first page and $5.00 for each additional page.
